You don't need more information. You need the right questions, and someone who genuinely listens.
Every service I offer is built on the same foundation: deep listening, honest reflection, and a genuine belief that the right life is findable.
Find the direction that actually fits you, not the one that looks good on paper. Using values mapping, the Ikigai framework, and 8 years of recruitment insight, we cut through the noise and find your real path. You also get the insider knowledge of what hiring managers actually look for, the part most candidates never hear.
Design the life first, then fit the career into it. Most people do this backwards. We start with what a well-lived life looks like for you, and work outward from there.
When the question is not just what career to choose but who you are and what you actually want, we go deeper. Identity, values, purpose and the stories that have been quietly running your life.
Whether you are navigating a career crossroads or simply trying to find your way back to yourself, this space was built for exactly where you are right now. The moment where you know something needs to change, but you are not sure where to start. That is where we begin.
A beautifully designed career clarity workbook: values mapping, strengths discovery, the Ikigai framework, a 90-day action plan, and an insider's guide to what recruiters actually want to know.
I came to Mel completely stuck. Six years in the same role and I couldn't see a way forward. Within three sessions I had more clarity about my values than I'd had in years. The Ikigai work was genuinely eye-opening. I've since started a business I actually love going to.
I wasn't even looking for career coaching; I just knew something felt off. Mel helped me see it wasn't my job that was the problem, it was how I'd built my life around it. Her approach is warm but refreshingly honest. I left every session with something concrete to act on.
I'd been underselling myself for years without realising it. After the values work, I negotiated a promotion I'd been too afraid to ask for, and finally said no to the projects that were draining me. Mel asks the questions you didn't know you needed.
Certified Life Coach. Recruitment professional. Someone who understands that finding your direction is rarely just about your career.
You are showing up at work. You are showing up for your children. You are managing the home, the schedules, the mental load that nobody else seems to notice. You are doing all of it, and somewhere in the middle of all of it, you lost the thread of who you actually are.
Maybe you cannot quite explain it. You are not falling apart in any visible way. But something is missing. A sense of self. A sense of direction. The quiet certainty that this life you are living is actually yours.
I know that feeling. Not from a textbook. From the inside. And I built this space because I believe that what you are carrying deserves to be seen, not just managed.
This is not about fixing you. You are not broken. This is about helping you find your way back to yourself, at a pace that fits your real life, with tools that actually work when you only have an hour to yourself on a Tuesday evening.
This space welcomes everyone navigating a crossroads. The frameworks here are human ones. They work because people work.
When a mother is overwhelmed, her children feel it. Not because she is failing, but because children are perceptive. They adapt. They shrink themselves to keep the peace. They learn to manage her emotions instead of their own. That is not a reflection of her love. It is a reflection of how much she needs someone to hold the space for her, the way she holds it for everyone else.
Coming back to yourself is not a selfish act. It is one of the most loving things you can do for the people around you.
For 8 years I worked in recruitment, matching people to roles, understanding what companies actually look for, and sitting across from hundreds of candidates at different stages of their careers. I was good at it. But what I noticed, again and again, was that the problem was rarely skills. It was direction. It was identity. It was knowing who you are when someone asks.
People came to me confused, underselling themselves, in careers that drained them or heading toward paths chosen for the wrong reasons. I could place them. But I could not fix what was underneath. That is what eventually led me to coaching.
I trained as a Certified Life Coach through the School of Life Academy, combining that with my recruitment background to create something genuinely different: a practice built on real-world hiring intelligence, life design thinking, and the kind of honest, grounded conversation that most people never get to have.
I am based in South Africa and work online with clients nationally and internationally. My approach is warm but honest, structured but flexible, and always rooted in the belief that the right direction is findable. For everyone.
Before frameworks, before tools, before any plan, there is a person. I create the kind of space where you feel genuinely heard, often for the first time. I do not rush to solutions. I sit with you in the question first. Everything else follows from that.
I do not believe in one giant leap. I believe in small, deliberate steps: reflect, research, test, adjust. Before any major decision, we slow down and gather clarity. That approach reduces fear and increases the quality of every choice you make.
The best insights often come when we step away from screens and into the natural world. I incorporate nature-based reflection practices, including walk-and-talk sessions and outdoor journaling prompts, for clients who are open to it.

A brief conversation to make sure we are the right fit before we begin working together.
We start your programme. Your first session sets the foundation for everything that follows.
Session by session, clarity builds. By the end, you have a direction and a plan to walk it.
Coaching is forward-focused and action-oriented. We work from where you are now toward where you want to be. Therapy typically explores the past to understand present behaviour. Coaching doesn't diagnose or treat mental health conditions. It helps well-functioning people move forward with clarity and intention.
All sessions are conducted online via Google Meet, which means I work with clients across South Africa and internationally. This makes scheduling flexible and removes any geographic barrier. Walk-and-talk sessions can be arranged for clients in the Western Cape.
Most clients report clarity and a shift in perspective after the first session. Deeper transformation: career decisions, life redesign, sustained momentum, typically emerges over 3 to 6 sessions. The pace depends on your openness, the complexity of your situation, and the work you put in between sessions.
That's exactly the right place to start. Not knowing what you want is not a problem, it's the starting point. Most of my clients arrive uncertain and leave with a clear direction. The not-knowing is what the work is for.
Yes, the Full Compass programme includes a dedicated CV and LinkedIn audit session using my 8 years of recruitment experience. I know exactly what hiring managers look for and what most CVs get wrong. This can be added to any programme as an optional add-on.
